This past Saturday was a day for all Chalfont Brazilian Jiu Jitsu students to remember. It was promotions day and all the hard worked payed off for these fine men and women. Many students were awarded stripes on there belts, signifying progress in their skill set. Most were white belts, bran new students who are still trying to get a grasp at the many techniques BJJ has in it’s arsenal.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, unlike most traditional martial arts, is practiced in a live situation. Commonly referred to as “rolling”, this live training truly tests the practitioner in his or her abilities. This is something rarely seen in the traditional arts as most traditional arts are highly based on “theory”. Theory is great but how do you know it actually works?
These Chalfont Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners don’t have to rely on theory to understand the power they possess. They experience it everyday on the mats.
Congrats guys and gals! Well deserved!
